2K and EA are in places. Both have major sports games coming out on consoles over a month or two. EA has the exact same situation with FIFA 21.
Likewise, 2K has NBA 2K21 with what also figures to NBA 2K MT be a better and bigger version on its way to consoles coming out the first week of September. With an upgrade coming so soon after the current-gen variation releases, and with all the NBA season ravaged by COVID-19-mandated delays, what if consumers expect from the PS4 and Xbox One versions of NBA 2K21? Afterall, the 2020 NBA Draft nor agency won't have happened by the time current-gen NBA 2K21 is published. In fact, the NBA season that was 2019-20 will not even be done.
Because of all of these things, anyone as we generally see from an annual 2K discharge, expecting as large of an effort is likely to be let down. All logic points saving all or almost all of its ammunition around the next-gen versions. That said, what exactly does a suitable current-gen release look like for 2K? I've got some thoughts. As we have seen in the gameplay trailer which published the graphics will be identical, if not equal to NBA 2K20. I'm fine with this bit of stagnation Even though this could be a problem for some.
There's two reasons I believe we have already seen this creation of consoled pushed into their limit. It's not going to have far better on XB1 and PS4 than what we see here. It would be absurd to think 2K would love to invest if they stand to benefit from delivering a next-gen version that will be hyped up because of how amazing it seems, in enhancing the item visually. 2K and every other producer of sports video games may want the gap between next-gen and present to be very noticeable from a visual perspective. As a customer, I'm fine with that approach.
Soundtracks are cool and all, but quite frankly, I fight to find the authentic long-term value in investing too much into this part of a game. That's an opinion that I'm sure some will agree with, and others might disagree. Nevertheless, we've already seen the soundtrack that will be in the match, and depending upon your tastes, you're frustrated either elated, or could care less about the songs. I'm good with what is coming on this front, and as far as commentary, I can await the models for a leap in this area. There are a number of things which could be done to make what' commentary in the game even better.
Here is a part of where EA and 2K should really bring the heat. I am not necessarily speaking about delivering modes. I'm more referring to fleshing out modes that are current. As an example, I have already stated that without a salary cap feature in MyTeam, I am probably not going to give that aspect of this game much of my time this year. Comparable, although to Buy NBA 2K MT Coins a lesser degree, the exact same could be said for a draft feature. Madden, FIFA, MLB The Show, along with the NHL series have versions of the concept in their collector modes. 2K wants to bring this back to MyTeam.
